  Tanker Explosions: Gov Mbah Reiterates Call for Enforcement of Anti-spill Lock Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has reiterated his call for the enforcement of anti-spill lock on fuel tankers across the country, saying that disasters arising from tanker-spill had become too frequent. Mbah restated the call on Tuesday when he received in his office the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, and her team who were in Enugu to flag-off the distribution of emergency intervention items to the victims of the Saturday tanker fire that caused the loss of several lives on the spot and also consumed several vehicles and goods at Ugwu Onyeama along the Enugu-Onitsha federal highway.  FG, Enugu Sign Host State Agreement for 2026 National Sports Festival The Federal Government, FG, and Enugu State Government have signed the host state agreement in respect of the 2026 National Sports Festival billed to hold in the South East State. The agreement, which was signed by the Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Hon. Bukola Olopade for the FG and Governor Peter Mbah for Enugu State, on Tuesday, now awards Enugu State the full hosting rights for the 2026 edition of the National Sports Festival.
