Enugu North Senatorial Zone People's Democratic Party - PDP Youth Wing paid a familiarization visit to Nsukka local government council chairman. The visit, comprises the zonal Youth Leader of the party - Evangelist Hyginus Chinedu Nwachukwu, Mr Jude Ezugwu - the Nsukka local government PDP Youth Leader, Hon Aloysius Ejiofor Ugwuagbo Igbo-Etiti PDP Youth Leader and other Youth Leaders in the six local governments in the zone. 


On Monday, 14th April, 2025. This visit was made to the council boss at his office in Nsukka local government secretariat. In light of this, the chairman welcomed them in grand style as he invites his special advisor on political matters to join the discourse. It was a memorable one.


The Youth Leader of Nsukka local government Mr Ezugwu introduced them to the mayor and used that opportunity to express his heartfelt gratitude to the chairman on his tremendous achievements in infrastructure, education, environment reactive models and other landmark projects executed and completed within a short period of time by the council boss. The zonal youth leader of the party - Evangelist Nwachukwu who thanked the mayor for his homely welcome. He pointed out major areas of interest in the course of the visit which are not limited to youth's inclusion in the scheme of governmental affairs, widened orientation to strengthen the party within the youth constituency and blueprints of the youth wing to incorporate more youths to be part of the party's movement. In a more elaborate version, the Igbo-Etiti PDP Youth Leader - Hon Ugwuagbo who stressed on the synergy of the leaders and youths of the party to truncate more and even inclusiveness. It was such a memorable visit as the nature remained visible testimony of the state governor's divergent democratic delivery in several sectors of human endeavors.


The chairman appreciated them for such bold step and encouraged them to act more to strengthening the party. He assured them if his supports and directives within the interest of party growth. Mayor Asogwa pointed out the focal issues facing the youths as the perceived poor participation of youths in the party activities and urged them to work on how to improve such setback. He opined that “the strength of every party especially PDP lies on Youths and Women, that if you get two of these blocs, the rest will be testimonials”. He used the opportunity to acknowledge the various achievements of the state governor - His Excellency Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah pointing out that Enugu North Senatorial Zone gets more of his dividends in Smart schools, Type 2 hospitals and Farm Estates. He stressed more on the population strength of the zone as major determinants of the election in every season of polity. “You should always pay more attention to getting closer to people in equity and distribution” as the babe of sense of belonging. He advised them to be of good ambassadors of the party, “ if you sincerely do things, it won't be long you will get elevated”.


He assured his guidance and contribution when necessary. The outing was an iconic one and remains grateful to almighty God for his providence and life of today. The visit ended with a group photograph.

HEALTH  03 JUNE, 2024 ENUGU GOVT APPROVES RECRUITMENT OF 400 STAFF IN PHCS  The Enugu State Government says it will be employing no fewer than 400 clinical and non clinical staff within its functional Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) to strengthen manpower needs. Dr Ifeyinwa Ani-Osheku, the Executive Secretary of Enugu State Primary Health Care Development Agency (ENS-PHCDA), disclosed this to newsmen yesterday in Enugu.
